"Alltenna"
Alltenna is an online platform developed to provide U.S. consumers with free access to local TV channels via the Internet.
About
Alltenna is a unique project that brings free local TV programming to US viewers via the Internet, ensuring compliance with US broadcasting laws. The platform successfully attracted 10,000 users in its first month, and we continue to enhance its functionality while maintaining its core focus on legal compliance and seamless user experience.
Client's Request
Our client aimed to develop a platform that would provide consumers in the US with easy access to local TV programming, including news, weather, and educational broadcasts, via the Internet. The project had to comply with strict US broadcasting laws, ensuring that users could only access channels designated for their specific DMA (Designated Market Area).
Here’s What We Did
We developed Alltenna, an online platform that allows users to watch local US TV channels for free, as long as they are in the appropriate DMA zone. The project required strict adherence to US broadcasting legislation. Our team implemented the MVP version in autumn 2022, focusing on stability and speed. The platform is designed to ensure smooth streaming of TV channels while considering complex legal requirements. We are currently working on the next versions of the service to enhance functionality.
Here’s the Result
The MVP of Alltenna was successfully launched, with over 10,000 users joining within the first month. The initial release emphasized performance and compliance with broadcasting laws, ensuring seamless and legally compliant streaming of TV channels based on users' locations. Our team continues to work on future versions to add more features and improve the service further.
