The objective was to move beyond traditional HR spreadsheets and create a sophisticated Retiree & Employee Recognition Portal that actually resonates. The challenge was unique: the platform had to feel modern and high-tech for the current staff, yet remain perfectly accessible and welcoming for retirees who have spent decades in the service.

The strategic focus for this project included:

• Bridging the Generational Gap: Designing an interface that balances cutting-edge aesthetics with high-legibility standards and intuitive navigation for all age groups.
• Frictionless Recognition: Replacing complex administrative hurdles with "one-click" paths for peer-to-peer awards, milestone celebrations, and rewards.
• Industry-Specific Compliance: Ensuring every design choice met the rigorous accessibility and data-clarity standards required in the healthcare sector.
• Commerce-Ready Foundation: Structuring the entire visual architecture to integrate flawlessly with a Shopify-based backend for future-proof scalability.

The project was approached through the lens of Product Discovery and UX Research, ensuring that the final visuals weren't just "pretty," but strategically functional. The following was implemented:

• Interactive User Mapping: We mapped emotional journeys. We streamlined how an employee feels when they receive an award and how a retiree navigates their legacy benefits.
• Prototyping for Precision: Using Figma as a central collaboration hub, we built high-fidelity interactive prototypes. This allowed for real-world testing of user flows long before implementation began.
• Scalable UI Component System: Instead of static screens, we delivered a living library of UI components. This ensures that as the organization grows, new features can be added instantly without breaking the visual harmony.
• Technical Synergy: Leveraging our deep Shopify expertise, we engineered the design assets specifically to meet the technical requirements of Shopify’s app ecosystem, eliminating the typical "design-to-dev" friction.
