Intiaro is a visual commerce platform focused primarily on the furniture and interior design industry. It provides tools for 3D product visualization, configuration, allowing retailers and manufacturers to offer immersive customization experiences on their websites or in showrooms.

Client's Request

The team turned to us to create a custom Shopify app that would seamlessly integrate their 3D product configurator into client stores. The goal was to make this integration accessible even to non-technical merchants.

The app needed to support:

Admin panel for configuration setup: A user-friendly way to manage Intiaro data and mailing settings.
Custom product tagging: Identifying which products can be configured and assigning the right IDs.
Frontend widget: A "Configure" button launching the Intiaro tool in a pop-up, with dynamic visuals and saved configurations.
Quote request functionality: Replacing the “Add to cart” button with a form submission, capturing consumer interest in custom designs.
Inquiry management: Viewing and handling submitted requests from the app dashboard, with email notifications.

Here’s What We Did

We designed and built a fully operational custom Shopify app that enables merchants to integrate Intiaro’s advanced 3D configurator with minimal setup.

Here’s how we approached the solution:

Custom Shopify app: Built with Remix, React, Prisma ORM, and PostgreSQL to ensure flexibility and speed.
Theme extension & UI: Added a dynamic “Configure” button with pop-up logic, without altering the Intiaro interface.
Admin dashboard: Allowed merchants to manage products, configuration attributes, and email templates.
Form & quote management: Enabled quote submissions with personalized forms and secure data collection.
Data persistence: Saved and reloaded visual configurations on return visits to improve user flow.

Here’s the Result

The resulting app empowers merchants to offer a high-end, interactive product customization experience directly within Shopify. Customers can configure products in real time, visualize them in 3D, and send quote requests seamlessly — all within the store interface. Our team’s expertise ensured smooth integration without touching the original Intiaro configurator logic, preserving performance and compatibility. The plugin helps the client scale their offering to smaller or less tech-savvy Shopify-based stores, expanding their reach without compromising on quality.
