The client turned to us with a clear goal: migrate their existing online store from Shopware to Shopify without losing its structure or functionality. The platform was already well-developed and widely used, so preserving the familiar user experience was a top priority. Their request included:

• Keep the existing design and navigation so returning customers wouldn’t face a learning curve.
• Implement tiered pricing based on order quantities to reflect their pricing model.
• Enable customer group tracking in the cart for better business analytics.
• Integrate ERP via Webconnector, with a later transition to REST API.
• Preserve payment flow and PDF generation to maintain smooth order processing.

To ensure a seamless transition, we focused on carefully replicating the existing functionality while unlocking Shopify’s flexibility and scalability. Here’s what we delivered:

• Rebuilt the store on Shopify, fully mirroring the original structure and design.
• Developed a custom Shopify App to integrate the ERP system using REST API.
• Implemented tiered pricing logic and customer group tracking for better data insights.
• Optimized the checkout flow, keeping PDF generation and payment sorting intact.
• Deployed the custom app on Docker for stable, secure, and scalable performance.

The migration was completed without disrupting the customer experience — the store looks and feels the same for users, but operates on a more flexible and future-proof platform. All critical business processes were preserved and enhanced: ERP integration runs smoothly, pricing logic works flawlessly, and operations are more stable.
