Their signature product — the Pirani Party Tumbler — is the first vacuum-insulated, reusable, and stackable party cup. Today, Pirani is known not only for eco-friendly products but also for its mission to make convenience less wasteful and protect what we love.

Client's Request

The company turned to us, looking for a fully custom personalization app to replace their existing Zepto Customizer. They needed a tool that would be fully tailored to their brand and provide customers with a smooth, engaging experience.

They needed:

Flexible personalization: Options for size, color, and custom text or images.
Live product preview: Shoppers should see their tumbler design instantly.
Smooth Shopify sync: All product data must stay up to date automatically.
Fast, scalable solution: Capable of handling heavy traffic without slowing down

Here’s What We Did

We developed a custom Shopify app that gives customers an interactive and seamless personalization experience, supported by a modern and scalable architecture.

Key elements included:

Frontend & Backend: Built with React/Remix for server-side rendering, ensuring a fast and dynamic interface. The backend runs on Node.js/Express to handle API requests efficiently.
Data & Performance: Product and customer data are stored in PostgreSQL via Prisma, while Redis caching significantly boosts performance and speed.
Shopify Integration: Connected through API webhooks, which automatically sync product and variant information, keeping the app fully aligned with Shopify.
Customer Experience Enhancements: Key details like delivery terms and return policies are displayed directly under the “Add to Cart” button, avoiding pop-ups and extra clicks.
Media & Content Management: Original assets (such as fonts) are stored on Wasabi (S3-compatible), and dynamic image generation is powered by Imgix. This allows images to be created instantly based on user input instead of pre-generating millions of variations.
Product Availability: The frontend visually represents unavailable options (using gray gradients), giving customers clarity without confusion.

Here’s the Result

The result was a fully tailored customization platform that reflects Pirani’s eco-conscious, customer-first approach. Shoppers can now design their own tumbler in seconds, preview it instantly, and place an order with confidence.
