Project idea

The client needed a sleek and high-performing website for their luxury car rental business, targeting Scandinavian countries. The platform had to allow users to rent high-end cars like Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Bugatti, choose specific locations depending on the desired city and difficulty, and conduct speed tests. The website required a custom build to accommodate the complexity of various rental options, along with an elegant design that catered to the luxury market. DevIT developed the Supercars website from scratch, using a custom-built theme to ensure optimal performance and scalability. The design was based on Figma and incorporated into the website using WooCommerce as the core platform for managing rental transactions. We utilized CarbonFields to add custom fields and features specific to the client’s needs, and Gulp to build the custom theme. The frontend was enhanced using SASS for styling, while additional functionalities were implemented using Lodash, jQuery, and FancyBox. Multiple custom tables were created in the database to manage the relationships between entities such as cars, rental options, and locations. The resulting platform provided a seamless user experience, allowing customers to easily browse and rent luxury vehicles. The custom-built features ensured that all client requirements were met, while the performance-focused backend design allowed for scalability and fast load times. The site successfully captured the luxury aesthetic and functionality that the target audience demanded, contributing to the brand’s strong presence in the Scandinavian market.
