The client came to us with a clear vision: to create an online store that goes far beyond standard Shopify capabilities. The goal was to develop a robust ecosystem of tools and apps tailored to their unique hardware business model.

Here’s what was essential:

• Advanced product control: The ability to define product rules, including minimum and maximum purchase limits.
• Location-based inventory management: A way to track and distribute products across multiple physical locations.

To deliver on the above requirements, we customized the Shopify theme and developed a suite of powerful apps that seamlessly integrate with the platform’s ecosystem.

Here’s what we implemented:

• Product Management App: A custom admin tool that allows defining purchase rules (min/max limits), hiding prices for certain users, setting delivery times, and assigning discounts — all tailored to the client's business logic.
• Inventory App: A location-aware inventory tracker that links product variants to specific warehouses and enables smart product distribution once an order is placed.
• Configurator App: A drag-and-drop builder that supports both Shopify and custom products. Rules-based logic enables dynamic product visibility — for example, hiding incompatible options based on prior selections.
• Quote & Trial App: A discount request system where users propose pricing for bulk orders. Admins can manage incoming requests, approve or decline them, and communicate via integrated email-based chat.
• Entitlements App: A specialized configurator for assigning spare parts or entitlements to a product. This tool uses the same smart logic engine as the configurator to dynamically manage content and structure.
• Customer Dashboard App: A custom client portal built with Shopify Remix. Customers can view and manage orders, request returns, see their quotes and trials, and interact with the team via an integrated email-chat system.

The result is a fully customized Shopify experience built for complexity and scale.
